Degree in Advertising from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a master’s and doctorate in Communication Sciences from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS). He worked in advertising creation at the start of his career until he joined UNISINOS as a lecturer in 2001. Since then she has been involved in various management, teaching and research activities at the institution, starting out on the coordination committee for the Social Communication course – Advertising (2001-2003) and then leading the team that developed the political-pedagogical project for the unprecedented Digital Communication course, coordinating it between 2004 and 2008. As part of his postgraduate studies in Communication, he began working in the field of digital interfaces and their media properties. After completing his doctorate, he was invited to join the Graduate Program in Design at UNISINOS and coordinate the University’s School of Design between 2009 and 2010. Between 2011 and 2014, he added the management of the university’s bachelor’s degree courses to his activities.Also in 2011, he joined the Postgraduate Program in Communication, in the Audiovisual Media and Processes research line, where she remains today. Since 2023, he has been a permanent lecturer in the Graduate Program in Design at UNISINOS. He is one of the leaders of the research group (CNPq) Audiovisualities and Technoculture: communication, memory and design (TCAV). Between 08/2015 and 08/2019 he was Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Communication Sciences at UNISINOS. He was the coordinator of INTERCOM’s GP Television Studies and Televisualities (2020-2021, 2022-2024). Coordinator of Unisinos´ Digital Culture Institute (ICD)from 2023 to october/2025. His research themes deal with audiovisualities, digital interfaces, the web, memory of and in online media, televisualities, methodological procedures related to media archaeology and images produced by artificial intelligence. He was a CNPq PQ2 (PQ1E) productivity grant holder from 2022 to 2025.
Started in November/2025 new position in the Communication Department at FABICO/UFRGS.
